In the latest list of winners of the 2022 China Student Mathematical Modelling Competition, undergraduate students from BJTU Weihai Campus achieved excellent results, with two teams winning national second prize, six teams won provincial first prize, nine teams won provincial second prize and seven teams won provincial third prize.
The results of the 2022 National Student Mathematical Modeling Competition were announced recently, and Weihai Campus made a new breakthrough in this competition. A total of twenty-four teams won prizes in this competition, among which, among the teams guided by Mr. Chuanqi Li, the teams of Yuhan Cao, Yunhao Guo, Gong Chen, and the teams of Qian Tang, Xiejian Chi, and Haichao Yao won the second prize of the national competition. In addition, the rest of the teams from the campus won six provincial first prizes, nine second prizes and seven third prizes.
The National Mathematical Modeling Competition for College Students, founded in 1992, is one of the largest extracurricular scientific and technological activities in colleges and universities across China. In this competition, the contestants combined the knowledge learned in their major courses with practical applications, practiced the school motto of “Knowing and Doing”, and reflected the excellent research and problem-solving ability and good teamwork spirit of the campus students, which improved the teaching quality of the school.
