There are two teaching buildings in total in BJTU,Weihai, with the building area of each building being about 14000 square meters. As for April 2023, 80 classrooms have been put into use, including 22 smart classrooms, 54 multimedia classrooms, and 4 digital Media specialized classrooms, of which the number of smart classrooms accounts for about 18%. In addition, 47 standardized examination halls and 2 teaching visualization centers have been built.
The classrooms are equipped with complete software and hardware facilities, integrated with the new generation of intelligent teaching platform (Learning at BJTU International). It subverts the traditional teaching models and realizes online and offline access, and covers all classes before, during and after class. It also realizes the organic combination of teachers and students with teaching resources, information technology and teaching environment.
Multimedia classrooms
Each classroom is equipped with professional multimedia teaching facilities, with regular live recording and video conferencing functions, and at the same time, centralised control and automated operation and maintenance of teaching facilities in the classroom, with a good experience of ‘vision, listening and speaking’ effects, which can satisfy the normal development of teaching, examination, academic exchanges, training and other activities.

Smart Classroom
Built 22 smart classrooms, and all put into use, smart classrooms with complete hardware and software facilities, can achieve on-demand changes in the layout of the classroom desks and chairs, any terminal wireless casting, multi-screen interactive and grouped seminar teaching, high-definition recording and broadcasting live on-demand, video conferencing, unified management and control, one-key call, non-sensory sound reinforcement and other functions, while the Internet of Things into the smart classroom, in addition to automatic monitoring of temperature and humidity in the classroom, carbon dioxide concentration, PM2.5 value, but also intelligent control of curtains, air conditioning, lighting, teaching equipment and other switches.
The smart classroom combines modern teaching concepts with information technology, explores new teaching modes, stimulates teaching innovation, and maximises the efficiency of teaching and learning in the classroom.

New Generation of Intelligent Teaching and Learning Platform
The Learning at BJTU International platform was officially launched in March 2021 at the beginning of the new semester. The bilingual teaching platform consists of four parts: curriculum platform, intelligent classroom, live broadcasting and recording system, and remote interactive teaching system. In traditional teaching informatisation construction, the above four parts are constructed independently, but this platform innovatively integrates the above four sub-systems and connects the functions of the above four systems, realising online and offline connectivity and full coverage before, during and after class.

Standardised Examination Halls
There are also 47 standardised examination rooms for Level 4 and 6 University English in the teaching building, equipped with examination monitoring cameras, signal shielding devices, unified management of mutual back-up listening broadcasting system, and meeting the requirements of national examination standards.
