Ⅰ.Brief Introduction
In order to achieve the educational objectives of enhancing morality and fostering talents, the Weihai campus, on the basis of strengthening the construction of the Party and League organizations, is comprehensively promoting the construction of the college system in students community. In the meanwhile, we are constantly improving systematic general education curriculum by taking the dormitory as the physical space and the college as the carrier of educating students. Students’ second classroom practice activities and the third classroom’s self-management model, as well as the construction of college culture are all contributing to cultivate socialist builders and successors who are well developed in moral, intellectual, physics, aesthetics and labor education.
On December 11, 2019, TAN Zhenhui, the former president of Beijing Jiaotong University and Chairman of the Mao Yisheng Award jury, and MAO Yulin who is the president of Mao Yisheng Science and Technology Education Foundation, unveiled the monuments of Tianyou College and Yisheng College respectively. XU Anguo, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Jiaotong University, presented letters of appointment to Tan and Mao as the honorary adviser and honorary president respectively. Tianyou College and Yi Sheng College were officiallyestablished.
Ⅱ.Staff
Professor TAN Zhenhui, the former president of Beijing Jiaotong University, was invited to serve as honorary president of college and Ms. MAO Yulin, the Secretary General of the Mao Yisheng Foundation, was invited to serve as an advisor of college. LU Jiashuan, the member of the Committee of Caring for the Younger Generation of Beijing Jiaotong University was invited to serve as an advisor of college. Professor KONG Deli of the Marxism College is the tutor of college, guiding the students to develop correct values and good humanistic qualities.
We select two staffs as the college administrator to manage daily affairs and culture environment of the college. We set Student Community Self-management Center. Student Guidance System was implemented, more than 70 senior students helped junior students in their study and life by playing the role of peer guidance.
Ⅲ.Regulations
The college is trying to cultivate students’ ability of self-management and self-education by means of students’ self-selection of roommates in different majors, students’ voluntary establishment of dormitory conventions, and students' participation in the formulation of dormitory management regulations. In meanwhile, we are trying to carry out a series of measures to strengthen Party and League constructions of college by encouraging Party and League organization to enter college, constructing Party member home and devising Student Party member responsibility area and other measures.
Ⅳ.Student Activities
Varieties of student activities were held in college. Every year, in November, there are various “College Culture Month” activities, including safety knowledge competition, dormitory style display, college elements collection, social etiquette lectures and other student activities.
