Heart-warming Activities Were Successfully Held at Happy Old Age Nursing Home

On Oct 19, the Youth Volunteer Association of BJTU Weihai organized 44 volunteers to give lovely performances to the elders in the Happy Old Age Nursing Home, spreading the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation of respecting, loving and helping the elderly.
On the afternoon of October 19th, the Weihai Campus organized 44 volunteers to visit the Happy Elderly Nursing Home in Wendeng District. The volunteers brought greetings to the elderly residents and presented a carefully designed cultural performance, offering love and warmth to the seniors and allowing them to feel the care of society firsthand.
At 2:00 PM, the volunteers arrived at the nursing home and presented the elderly with prepared fruits, conveying the warmest blessings of the golden autumn and expressing their concern and affection for the seniors.
During the cultural performance, the song "The Most Dazzling Ethnic Style" showcased the timeless charm of the Chinese nation, while "Love is Like a Tide" interpreted the feelings of longing. The patriotic song "I Love You, China" brought the emotional atmosphere to a climax. The cheerful Hulusi performance "The Girl Who Loves to Sing" and the song "Moonlight over the Lotus Pond" infused the elderly's hearts with gentle melodies. The "Poetry Recitation" segment highlighted the profound and extensive nature of Chinese culture.
The volunteer activity concluded amidst laughter. Although the event lasted only a few hours, the spirit of respecting, honoring, and caring for the elderly will forever remain in the hearts of the volunteers. The young volunteers of the Weihai Campus will continue to organize and participate in volunteer services that care for the elderly, spreading warmth in practice and promoting traditional Chinese virtues.
