BJTU Weihai Held A Lecture on Promoting Fine Traditional Chinese Culture

On May 22, Weihai Campus invited He Xiyan to give a special lecture on promoting fine traditional Chinese culture in the lecture hall on the second floor of the Academic Exchange Center. Faculty and students of the campus attended the lecture.
During the lecture, Associate Professor He Xiyan proceeded from the overall framework of cultural development in the new era, followed the prevailing trends in the cultural sector, and delivered a thorough yet accessible interpretation with a wealth of vivid examples. From Dunhuang culture revitalized by digital technologies to the continuously upgraded cultural and creative products of Jiaodong flower buns in Weihai, fine traditional Chinese culture has gained renewed vitality and dynamism through creative transformation and innovative development.
The well-grounded and professional lecture was warmly received amid a strong learning atmosphere. Qiu Jing, a student at Weihai Campus, said she would integrate cultural concepts into her daily study and life, strive to be a promoter and inheritor of fine traditional Chinese culture, and tell compelling Chinese stories on this international campus.
Going forward, Weihai Campus will further strengthen cultural education and regularly organize lectures on traditional culture. It will guide teachers and students to carry forward China's cultural heritage and draw spiritual nourishment, pooling youthful wisdom and strength for the great cause of national rejuvenation.
