On Oct 25, Mr Chris Butland, Head of North China Outreach of the British Embassy in China, paid a visit to BJTU Weihai.
On October 25th, Chris Butland, Head of North China Outreach of the British Embassy in China, visited the Weihai Campus for a research and exchange session. He was warmly received by Bai Yanlei, Vice Dean of Weihai International College, and Christine Mortimer, Deputy Academic Dean of Lancaster University College at Beijing Jiaotong University.

Bai Yanlei welcomed Chris Butland 's visit and provided an overview of the development history, educational characteristics, and future plans of Beijing Jiaotong University and the Weihai Campus. Chris Butland gained a detailed understanding of the UK-China cooperative education initiatives at the Weihai Campus, as well as the working and living conditions of British faculty members on campus. Both sides exchanged views on how to strengthen communication and cooperation, promote mutual understanding, and enhance friendship, expressing a commitment to exploring opportunities for deeper collaboration in education and other fields. Following the meeting, Chris Butland toured the campus's smart classrooms, laboratory center, and library, and experienced the smart dining services at the dining hall. He highly praised the campus's teaching resources, smart infrastructure, construction achievements, and educational outcomes.
