They include Modern Physics Laboratory, Optics Laboratory, Mechanics Laboratory, Electrics Laboratory, PASCO Laboratory, etc. The laboratories provide College Physics Experiment (I) and College Physics Experiment (II) courses for undergraduates majoring in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental Science and Engineering in Weihai campus.
1. Laboratory Introduction
University Physics Laboratory includes Modern Physics Laboratory, Optics Laboratory, Mechanics Laboratory, Electricity Laboratory, PASCO Laboratory, etc. It is mainly for the undergraduate students majoring in science and technology such as Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Environmental Science and Engineering, etc. on Weihai Campus, in order to meet the needs of undergraduates in physics experimental teaching, to cultivate and train the students to understand the commonly-used instruments and their usage and the basic experimental methods, and to be able to According to the experimental tasks and requirements of their own access to information, the design of certain aspects of the experiment, the formulation of the corresponding program, the comprehensive application of various experimental methods to solve problems and complete the experiment, aims to enhance the students' hands-on ability, innovation, as well as the ability to analyze and solve problems, and to cultivate students' scientific spirit of independent thinking and the courage to explore.
2. Laboratory Functions
The University Physics Laboratory is located on the fourth floor of Siyuan West Building, with nine laboratories in total, using an area of about 700 square meters, covering many classical physics experiments in the fields of mechanics, thermology, acoustics, electromagnetism, optics, and modern physics. The laboratory provides university physics experiments (Ⅰ) and university physics experiments (Ⅱ) for undergraduates majoring in communication engineering, computer science and technology, and environmental science and engineering on Weihai Campus. Each experimental program adopts group teaching mode, each group accommodates 8 students to carry out experiments at the same time, which ensures the quality of experimental teaching. The experimental programs offered in the University Physics Laboratory are as follows:

3. Introduction Featured Experiments
3.1 PASCO experimental platform

Thermal Combination Experiment System

Optical Combination Experiment System
PASCO experimental platform is a system that applies computer data acquisition and analysis to physics experiments, utilizing modern electronic technology, adopting sensors for data acquisition and computers for process control and data processing, especially for some transient changes in physical quantities to achieve real-time measurements, and for some physical phenomena that are not easy to observe to achieve sensory display. According to the characteristics of PASCO experimental platform experimental accessories can be assembled to carry out new experimental design and equipment research, to realize the design of PASCO experimental platform application and expansion of the research.
3.2 Spectral Measurement Comprehensive Experiment

Comprehensive experiments on spectral measurement
With the development of computer, CCD technology and microcrystalline etching technology, miniature digital spectrometer has also become an important tool for laboratory spectral analysis. The instrument adopts special microchip optical structure and improves the design architecture of general spectrometer collimating mirror-planar optical structure-focusing mirror to complete the spectroscopy and focusing function with a single component and minimum volume, which has the advantages of wider wavelength detection range, high stability, programmable control, compact design, easy to carry and measure.
3.3 Information Optics Comprehensive Experiment

Comprehensive experimental platform for information optics

Optical holder
The comprehensive experimental system of information optics contains Young's double-slit interference experiment, Mach-Zende interference experiment, Fresnel diffraction experiment, Fraunhofer diffraction, Marius' law verification experiment, generation and examination of polarized light, measurement of Brewster's angle, and holographic photo experiment. Laboratory teachers can choose different experiments according to students' different majors and courses, which meets the needs of all kinds of students and teachers for optical experiments.
