Dankook University, a prestigious comprehensive university in South Korea, encompasses colleges of Liberal Arts, Law, Social Sciences, Business and Economics, Engineering, and Music and Arts. It ranks 27th in the latest QS South Korean University Rankings. The university has two campuses: the main campus in Seoul and the Cheonan Arts Campus, with a total enrollment of approximately 30,000 students. Dankook University has been a long-term partner of our university, with over 20 years of student exchange between the two institutions.
I. Program Overview
The KIP (Korean Immersion Program) is designed for students interested in learning about Korean culture, history, society, and the Korean language. Participants will receive an official transcript from Dankook University upon completion of the program.
The program consists of two parts:
Morning: Korean language classes
Afternoon: Cultural experience activities
II. Program Dates
Program Duration: August 8 to August 24, 2023 (3 weeks)
Arrival/Check-in: August 7
Orientation: August 8
III. Eligibility
1.Full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students (non-graduating year)
2.Good physical and mental health
3.Proficient in English
IV. Fees
Standard Program Fee: USD 1,200 per person
Discount for Our Students: USD 200 (under the partnership agreement between the two universities)
Final Program Fee: USD 1,000 per person (includes application fee, tuition, and accommodation)
Additional Costs: Airfare, living expenses, and insurance are not included and are the responsibility of the participant.
V. On-Campus Application
Undergraduate Students: Submit a completed hard copy of the "Beijing Jiaotong University Undergraduate International and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Exchange Program Application Form" (fully completed, signed, and stamped by the college) to the International Office, Room 108.
Postgraduate Students: Submit a completed hard copy of the "Beijing Jiaotong University Postgraduate International Exchange Program Application Review Form" (fully completed, signed by the advisor, and stamped by the college) to the International Office, Room 108.
Email the following electronic documents to xicai@bjtu.edu.cn:
(1) Scanned copy of passport
(2) Proof of English proficiency (e.g., CET-4, CET-6, TOEFL, or IELTS scores)

Important Note: Participation in the program must not conflict with the semester (including short semester) courses, exams, or other arrangements at BJTU.
