On November 20th, Chinese language instructors from the International Student Education Center(ISEC) attended a series of workshops themed "Resource Co-construction and Experience Sharing" at the Beijing campus, organized by the School of International Education.
The workshop was convened to align with the trend of one college with three campuses at the School of International Education of Beijing Jiaotong University, aiming to further integrate Chinese language teaching resources, foster professional connections among Chinese language instructors across the three campuses, and enhance individual teaching competencies. The event was presided over by Liu Xiaofang, Director of the Teaching Center at the School of International Education, with a welcoming address by Guo Haiyun, Vice Dean of the School of International Education (Tangshan), who greeted the Chinese language teachers from the three campuses gathered in Beijing to collectively contribute to the cause of Chinese language international education at Beijing Jiaotong University.
Cui Junjie, Deputy Director of the International Student Education Center at the Weihai campus, presented a report on the cultivation of international students during the 2019-2020 academic year, while Chinese language instructor Rong Rong shared experiences of nurturing pre-undergraduate Chinese language students at the Weihai campus. Chinese language teachers from the Beijing and Tangshan campuses also exchanged insights on various courses. The workshop facilitated a platform for communication and exchange among Chinese language teachers from the three campuses through a series of activities, including experienced teachers sharing their knowledge, forming teaching teams for course refinement, and individual teaching skill competitions, thereby updating the concepts of Chinese language instruction.
