The “Carton Replacing” Activity was Successfully Carried Out

On Nov 4, 11, 18 and 26, hosted by Student Union of Weihai Campus, the “Carton Replacing” activity was held as scheduled on the first floor of Residence Hall 2, 3 and 4. By collecting and recycling used courier boxes, the activity aimed at promoting students’ awareness of environment protecting and contributing to national sustainable development.
In order to spread the concept of green environmental protection and contribute to the sustainable development of the country, the student branch of Weihai Campus recently organised four phases of ‘cardboard boxes for new’ activities to help students to timely deal with the ‘Double Eleven’ and the large number of cardboard boxes generated by the usual shopping.

This activity is guided by the principle of "Do not waste even in small amounts, and do not overlook saving even in minor ways." During the activity, students enthusiastically participated, with staff setting up cardboard collection points on the first floor of both male and female dormitories. Participants exchanged cardboard boxes of various sizes for points. After the collection period, staff assisted campus property management in transporting the boxes to designated locations for tallying and accounting.

The activity, timed with the "Double 11 Shopping Festival," promoted environmental awareness through the "Exchange Cardboard for New" initiative, aiming to cultivate a sense of social responsibility among the campus students. The event received a warm response, sparking a wave of enthusiasm among students for conserving resources and protecting the environment.
