Volunteers from BJTU Weihai Cared For Autistic Children

On Nov 23, 26 volunteers from BJTU Weihai Campus went to Weihai Tianyu Qizhi School to accompany the autistic children and shared an unforgettable afternoon together, cultivating the excellent quality of dedication and friendship among students. This volunteer service aimed to let more people understand the autistic children, and to create a more friendly social atmosphere, helping them better understand the world.
The Weihai Campus aims to raise awareness about children with autism and guide students to embody the spirit of volunteerism, fostering qualities of dedication and compassion. On November 23, 26 faculty and student volunteers participated in a themed service event titled "Lighting the Heart, Walking with Love" at Tianyu Qizhi School, offering care and warmth to children with autism.

The volunteers brought carefully prepared gifts for the children, spent time playing with them, and engaged in painting activities to better understand their inner worlds. They also assisted the school's teachers in organizing archives and listened to the children's stories, gaining a deeper insight into their lives.

Through this event, the campus volunteers enhanced their understanding of the unique challenges faced by children with autism. By offering warmth and care to these "children from the stars," they spread positive social energy and promoted the volunteer spirit of "dedication, friendship, mutual aid, and progress."
