The National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest is one of the undergraduate subject competitions advocated by the Ministry of Education. It aims to promote the reform of the information and electronic subject curriculum system and curriculum content in colleges and universities, which will help colleges and universities implement quality education and cultivate college students’ sense of practiceinnovation and basic abilities, the humanistic spirit of teamwork, and theory with practice. It helps to cultivate the quality of engineering practice and improve the students' ability to design and produce electronics for practical problems; it helps to attract and encourage young students to participate in extracurricular scientific and technological activities, and creates the conditions for outstanding talents to stand out.
Electronic Design Competition for Students of Beijing Jiaotong University is sponsored by the Academic Affairs Office, hosted by the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, co-organized by “Geek Star” extracurricular science and technology club, and the Center for Innovative Activities of Students of the School of Telecommunications is in charge of the organization of the competition, and has conducted several technical trainings for all the participating students during the period of the competition.
Students from Weihai Campus participated in the Electronic Design Competition for College Students of Beijing Jiaotong University for the first time in 2019, and a total of three teams won awards, including two second-place awards and one third-place award. Two of the teams went to Beijing in the summer of 2019 to participate in the centralized training of the National College Student Electronic Design Competition, and finally won the third prize of the North China Region, 1 team, and 1 team successfully finished the competition.
