With an outstanding hardware environment and a relatively stable team of teacher instructors, the University Physics Laboratory has made a series of achievements in instructing undergraduates to participate in college physics competitions in recent years, and it has become a big platform for cultivating students' practical innovation ability, enhancing their ability to solve practical problems, cultivating the spirit of teamwork and expanding their comprehensive quality.
In 2019, the University Physics Laboratory, together with physics teacher Zhao Xiang, undertook the pre-competition training for undergraduates from Weihai Campus to participate in the Third Shandong Province Undergraduate Physics Competition. In this competition, 43 students from BJTU Weihai Campus participated and 17 students won prizes, among which, 4 students won the first prize, 5 students won the second prize and 8 students won the third prize.
