FLTRP Cup English Writing Contest is jointly organized by the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, the Ministry of Education College Foreign Language Teaching Guidance Committee and the Ministry of Education College English Teaching Guidance Subcommittee, It is a public welfare for college students across the country.
The "FLTRP Cup" National English Writing Competition is a public welfare event organized by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press in collaboration with the College Foreign Language Teaching Advisory Committee under the Ministry of Education and the English Teaching Advisory Subcommittee under the Ministry of Education. It is open to college students nationwide.
The competition consists of one argumentative essay (approximately 800 words) and one narrative essay (600-800 words), with a total writing time of 180 minutes and a maximum score of 100 points. Launched in 2012, the "FLTRP Cup" National English Writing Competition aims to promote English writing education, improve students' English writing skills, and drive the reform and development of foreign language writing instruction in higher education institutions.
The number of participants from each university is determined and announced by the College Foreign Language Teaching Research Association of the respective province (municipality or autonomous region). For the final round, after the preliminary competition, the College Foreign Language Teaching Research Association of each province (municipality or autonomous region) will register three qualified participants with the competition's organizing committee for the national finals.
In 2022, He Zhicheng, a 2021 Computer Science and Technology major, and Wang Yutong, a 2020 Accounting major, won second prizes in the Shandong Division.
