The competition is in order to develop comprehensive capacity of college students, promote the reform and innovation of knowledge hierarchy, curriculum, course content and teaching methodology in computer science, encourage college students to actively participate in scientific activities, arouse the computer skill related interest and potential, and offer support for all-round talent cultivation.
The purpose of the "Competition" is to enhance the comprehensive quality of college students, specifically implementing theStrategic Research Report on Computer Basic Teaching Development in Higher Education Institutions and the Basic Requirements for Computer Basic Course Teachingcompiled by the Computer Basic Course Teaching Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education, as well as theComputer Teaching Requirements for Liberal Arts Majors in Universitiescompiled by the Liberal Arts Computer Basic Teaching Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education. It aims to further promote the reform of the knowledge system, curriculum system, teaching content, and methods of computer education for undergraduate programs in the 21st century, encourage students to actively participate in extracurricular scientific activities, stimulate their interest and potential in learning computer knowledge and skills, and cultivate talents with comprehensive development in moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetic aspects. These talents should possess the ability to apply information technology to solve practical problems, demonstrate innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities, and exhibit team collaboration awareness.
The "Competition" process consists of two stages: the preliminary round and the final round. The preliminary round primarily selects entries through provincial (municipal, autonomous regional) preliminary competitions and national online evaluations, while the final round involves on-site presentations and defenses. Awards include first prize, second prize, and third prize.
