The National University Digital Art Design Competition (hereinafter referred to as the NCDA Competition) has been held annually since 2012. It is a high-standard and high-level professional competition. It has a wide range of popularity and participation and has become a professional brand competition in the field of art design.
The National College Digital Art Design Competition (hereinafter referred to as the NCDA Competition) has been held annually since 2012. It is a high-standard and high-level professional event with extensive recognition and participation, establishing itself as a prestigious brand in the field of art and design.
The competition is divided into two categories: themed and non-themed, with separate groups for students and teachers. College instructors can participate either as mentors or by submitting their own entries. The competition features nine major professional categories: Category A (Visual Communication), Category B (Digital Imaging), Category C (Interactive Design), Category D (Environmental Space), Category E (Form Design), Category F (Fashion Design), Category G (Emoji Design), Category H (Digital Painting), and Category I (Game Design). Additionally, there is a Category K (Instructional Design) specifically for teachers. The competition also includes themed categories sponsored by various enterprises, offering a rich variety of content. Awards include first, second, and third prizes for each category. Themed categories also feature honorable mentions and popularity awards, with winners receiving certificates of honor, substantial cash prizes from sponsoring companies, and potential employment opportunities.
Since its inception in 2012, the NCDA Competition has been held annually, attracting participants from art and design programs across nearly 1,000 colleges and universities in China. These include top-tier art institutions, double-first-class universities, as well as applied undergraduate and vocational colleges. The competition enjoys high academic standing and recognition, solidifying its position as a leading brand in the domestic art and design field.
In 2022, the Weihai Campus selected two teams to participate in the Shandong Provincial Competition, securing one provincial-level first prize and one provincial-level third prize. Instructor Si Lingxiang was awarded the Outstanding Mentor Award.
