On Apr 23, BJTU Weihai successfully held a workshop for counselors and class advisors with the theme "Focusing on Academic Atmosphere Building and Exploring the Functional Applications of the Smart Ideological and Political System." HAN Botao, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, and LIN Wanliang, Deputy Party Secretary of the Weihai Campus, attended the event and delivered specialized presentations for all counselors and class advisors on campus.

HAN Botao, addressing the practical needs of current student management work, elaborated on the application of the "Counselor Agent in the Smart Ideological and Political Platform." He detailed the functions and usage methods of three modules—"Passive Intelligent Interaction," "Active Work Assistance," and "Intelligent Analysis and Decision-Making"—showcasing the innovative achievements of the university in in-depth student guidance.

LIN Wanliang systematically outlined the key tasks currently undertaken by the campus in academic support, employment advancement, and psychological safety. He stressed the requirement for all counselors and class advisors to strictly maintain disciplinary boundaries while reinforcing their accountability. He also advocated for establishing a collaborative framework between the two roles to improve student management efficacy and service delivery.

This workshop significantly improved the counselors' ability to utilize the Smart Ideological and Political System in their work, reinforced the collaborative awareness between counselors and class advisors in fostering student development, and laid a solid foundation for building a more precise and efficient student management and service system.
