A Delegation from Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University Paid A Visit to Weihai Campus

On Apr 21, a four-member delegation from Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), led by ZHOU Xiaocheng, Party Branch Secretary of the Smart Engineering School, visited Weihai Campus for a collaborative exchange and symposium. The delegation was received by LIN Wanliang, Deputy Party Secretary and Discipline Inspection Commission Secretary of the campus, alongside MA Xiao, Director of Student Affairs and Services Office, and GU Yuying, SUN Junwei, LIU Guitong.
During the welcoming session, LIN Wanliang outlined the campus’s developmental milestones, academic strengths, strategic positioning, faculty resources, and student recruitment outcomes. In response, ZHOU Xiaocheng expressed gratitude for the hospitality and detailed XJTLU’s institutional framework and student affairs methodologies. He underscored the value of face-to-face dialogue in fostering stronger partnerships between the two institutions’ student affairs teams.
The discussions centered on innovative strategies for AI-era education collaboration, including cross-institutional employment support systems, mental health initiatives, community-class integration models, student club development, and Party-building practices.
Following the talks, the delegation toured campus facilities such as student residences and the integrated "one-stop" student service hubs, gaining firsthand insights into Weihai’s educational ecosystem.
The visit marked a milestone in cross-campus cooperation, solidifying mutual understanding and paving the way for resource sharing and academic synergy. Both institutions pledged to elevate talent cultivation through sustained collaboration, aiming to pioneer new chapters in educational innovation.
