Ceremony Held by RIT to Commend Students on Dean’s List in BJTU Weihai
On June 15, 2017,Dr.Sandra S.Johnson, RIT’s Senior Vice President for student affairs, and Dr. John Tu, Senior Associate Dean of RIT’s Saunders College of Business, paid a visit to Weihai campus of BJTU, and held an awarding ceremony for seven MIS students on Dean’s List and the selected five MIS students for the program of Global Scholars in the fall semester, which starts from August 28, 2017. The undergraduate students whose GPA is greater than 3.40 were presented Certificate of Recognition for achieving the Dean's List honors during 2015-2016 academic year. Faculty and staff for MIS (Management Information System) were also invited to the celebration dinner. During Dr Johnson’s stay, she met the team of Campus students counselors to exchange views on the students issues, such as wellness, mobility, leadership, clubs, internship, academic support, and parents support.
2017年6月15日，美国罗彻斯特理工学院主管学生事务高级副校长桑德拉·约翰逊女士和桑德斯商学院高级副院长屠强教授来访威海校区，校区管委会副主任白延雷会见了客人并召开学生事务工作座谈会，交流两校学生管理经验。
座谈会上，白延雷首先代表威海校区对罗彻斯特理工学院来访客人表示欢迎。双方就两校目前学生事务开展工作情况进行介绍，并就如何培养学生深度思考、团队精神、解决问题能力、沟通能力和跨文化交际能力进行探讨。桑德拉对威海校区在不到两年时间所取得的成绩给予了很高评价，她表示威海校区同时作为罗彻斯特理工学院的海外校区之一，美方将持续在学生学业支持、学生双向交流、学生领袖互访、社团沟通互助、学生双向实习、学生心理健康等方面与中方合作，为学生谋福祉。
桑德斯校长还主持举办了信息管理与信息系统专业学生表彰大会和庆祝晚宴。表彰大会上，屠强教授宣布了2015-2016学年度信息管理与信息系统专业优秀学生名单，以及2017-2018学年度秋季学期赴美交流学习的学生名单。屠强教授讲解了两项荣誉的评选授予规则，鼓励同学们向榜样看齐，在国际校区的氛围下，提高自身的综合能力。晚上，罗彻斯特理工学院组织表彰晚宴，宴请双方院校任课教师和受表彰学生。
