“海上升明月,交大共此时”——威海校区举行中秋之夜主题活动
On September 29, a celebration of Moon-cake Festival was held by students union ahead of its official day. The hall of International Academic Exchange Center was alive with expectation and excitement, especially those from international students and faculty. The event integrated the old celebration and entertainment with new participants, offering traditional Mid-Autumn food and games. Touhu (pitch-pot), a game invented by archers and enjoying popularity among ancient Chinese, also attracted a large crowd to try their skill and luck. The winners were awarded gift coupon. Guessing lantern riddles, a repertoire on the occasion, lured many participants to rack their brains. At the stand of Chinese calligraphy, international students surprisingly occupied the most time to try their handwriting. The game Mind Acts Upon Mind, gave the most laughter, while one making gestures, his partner wildly guessing phrases. The evening reached its climax with students making Crystal Moon-cakes themselves, which made the night an unforgettable one.
