Developing Business Applications
Development of business applications is transforming from programming to integration of software components using application development environments. Students learn the fundamentals of computer programming and applications development through a set of programming exercises that focus on visual development environments and component integration. These exercises expand into a project where students apply concepts of typical development and project methodologies to complete a comprehensive programming assignment.
Research Methodologies and Innovation Education for Information Management
The subject is a specialty major course for the junior of Information Management and Information Systems. Through the study of the subject, the students can understand and master the general process, methods and criteria of doing research. Therefore, their research efficiency and quality can be improved and their innovation consciousness and thinking can be inspired.

Introduction to Electronic Commerce
This course is the specialty basic course of major categories offered for undergraduate students of the school of economics and management. The course puts forward the economic analysis for the generation of e-commerce with the starting point of the development of business activities, and introduces the technical basis of the generation of e-commerce based on the functionality provided by the network information technology, the e-commerce applications, classification, characteristics, management and technical issues that need to be solved through case study, the design of e-commerce systems, the establishment of e-commerce websites, the implementation of e-commerce projects taking business e-commerce as a clue, the environment and trends of the e-commerce development with the clue of dynamics of the development of electronic commerce at home and abroad.

This course is a specialized core curriculum offered for the undergraduate students majoring in information management specialty under the broad category of economic management, and also a main course to implement investigative teaching. The teaching content of this course lays the foundation of follow-up courses related to information management and future operation involved in information management. The goal of this course is to make the students grasp the primary algorithm and data structure through the combination of theoretical teaching and computer operation.
Principles of Management
This course is one of the basic courses of undergraduate students who major in economics and management, including 3 credits and 8 hours.
This course is the introductory course for all the management courses. Each chapter should focus on the basic concept, principle, and method of management to enable students to have a general understanding and get a hold. Organizational behavior, strategic management, human resources management and other follow-up courses will be conducted in-depth analysis and application.
This course mainly instructs management and management science, evolution of management theories, plan and strategy, organization, leadership, control, decision, communication, motivation team, innovation of enterprise management and so on and it is based on the basic function of management.
This course adopts research-oriented teaching mode. Students will master basic management knowledge, and apply it to analyzing practical problems. They will have preliminary thinking, skills, and techniques in management.
Operations Research
Operations research is a compulsory basic course for students majoring in information management. As an important part of management sciences and modern management methods, operations researches being a new and developing course in recent decades, makes researches on optimizing approaches and schedules of all kinds of systems by applying mathematical methods, so as to supply quantitative accordance for decision makers choosing optimum decision. The course introduces fundamental concepts, principles and methods of linear programming, integer programming, dynamic programming, graph theory, inventory theory, queuing theory and network planning. On the basis of emphasizing on establishing mathematical model according to realistic examples, some practical mathematical models and methods in economics and management fields are discussed. Thus, the ability for students of establishing models, solving modes, analyzing model solutions and making economic evaluation are cultivated based on practical problems.
Technology and Application of Business Intelligence
The target of this course is to enable students to understand the approach and methods of business intelligence systems, recognizing the importance of business intelligence systems in the organization's management and decision-making, through the study of this course requires students to master the core technology foundation for business intelligence - data warehousing the basic concepts of OLAP and data mining, techniques and methods, and be able to be applied to the related fields.
The main content of the courses include Introduction to Business Intelligence, the basic operation of the principle of data warehousing, OLAP principle, data warehouse, the preliminary design of the OLAP, OLAP design, MDX and OLAP data display, data mining concepts.
Expert and Decision Support Systems
The subject is for the junior of Information Management and Information Systems. Through the study of the subject, the students can understand and master fundamental theories, developing methods and technologies of DSS (Decision Support Systems) and ES (Experts Systems). Furthermore, the latest evolution of DSS will be introduced.
The subject consists of three parts, which are DSS, ES and the latest evolution of DSS. In the first part, the content to be taught includes seven chapters, which are Generality of Decision and DSS, Structure of DSS, Database System, Model Base System, Human-computer Interaction System, Development of DSS and Experiment of DSS. In the second part, the content to be taught includes five chapters, which are Review of Artificial Intelligence and ES Principle, Knowledge Expression and Reasoning of ES, Production rule-based ES, Development of ES and Experiment of ES. In the third part, the content to be taught includes three chapters, which are Intelligent DSS, DW, OLAP and DM-based DSS and Comprehensive DSS.
IT Project Management
This course is specialty extension elective course for the students of information management and information system
Through the learning of the course, students can master some basic concepts, principles and basic methods of modern project management, understanding the basic IT project management techniques and tools in each stage. The students can have preliminary basic skills of IT project management
Through the analysis of actual project and the application of project management software MS Project, to cultivate the students' global view, specific project management skills, team spirit, to improve their comprehensive ability to use project management knowledge to solve practical problems.
Management empirical research
This course is a fundamental course in the methodology of research for students majoring in information management. The main task of this course is to enable students to master the basic principles and methods of using empirical research methods to solve management problems, and to cultivate the ability to solve practical management research problems.
Computer Network and Its Applications
"Computer network and application" is a professional backbone course for the undergraduate students majoring in information management and information system, is also a prerequisite required to further research on TCP/IP architecture and network interconnection. This course systematically explains the basic function of computer network system and its system structure, TCP/IP stratification, network performance indicators, Ethernet and high speed ethernet, network routing and transport layer protocols, network application and so on around the basic parts of computer network and system structure, and makes the students understand systematically the basic concepts and working principles of computer network system, be familiar with computer network and the Internet composition, master the basic analysis and design methods of computer network protocol, lay the foundation for further studying follow-up courses and developing cognition of computer network system, designing and applying development ability through the combination of classroom lecture and course experiment.
Security & Defense of Information Systems
This course is a specialized elective course designed for the undergraduate students majoring in information management and information systems. Teaching goal is to enable students to master the basic methods and techniques, including anti-virus technology, network attacks methods, principles of modern cryptography and information system security protocol applications on the basis of understanding the basic theory of information systems security.
The main contents of this course include: the basic principles of information security, international standards of information security, the basic concept of the virus. Traditional viruses, worms, web script virus, Trojan, anti-virus technology, vulnerability detection, buffer overflow attacks, password attacks, network monitoring, address spoofing, denial of service attacks, botnets and e-mail system security, modern cryptography jargon, cryptanalysis, symmetric ciphers algorithm, public key algorithms, cryptographic communication protocols, digital signatures and digital certificates, message digests, one-way hash function and message authentication codes, digital stamp, Web sites, SSL configuration.
Computer Simulation Technology
This course is a specialty elective course for the undergraduate students of Information management and information systems which focus on the basic principles and modeling methods of the computer system simulation, and the system simulation applications based on MATLAB.
By learning this course, students shall understand the basic theory and basic principles of the system simulation, master the ideas and steps of the system simulation, basic grasp the modeling methods, master the basic instruction and programming of MATLAB language, exercise and improve the ability of system design and analysis with the computer simulation technology to provide the necessary simulation skills for the follow-up courses and graduate design simulation skills.
The course is mainly about the basic methods of system modeling, model handling technology, digital simulation of continuous system, discrete event simulation, basics and application of MATLAB and so on.
Management Accounting
Management Accounting is one of the principle courses for accounting majors and one of major electives for financial management majors. The aims of this course are to enable the students to understand and master the principles and methods of management accounting; to enable the students to have the ability to view the corporate accounting information and related information from the point of view of management; to enable the students to grasp some of the basic decision-making methods and some of the basic principles to strengthen internal management and administration.

Macroeconomics
To provide a thorough introduction to the discipline of macroeconomics, including a descriptive and analytical overview of the workings of a modern economy at the macroeconomic level where aggregates such as national income, unemployment and inflation are the focus of attention.

Marketing is a growing and dynamic discipline, which encompasses a broad range of activities and tasks. Principles of Marketing is a foundation course and thus the emphasis will be on learning the basic principles and theories of marketing and applying these theories to several practical situations. Essentially, creating consumer value and satisfaction are at the very heart of modern marketing thinking and practice. Application of statistics is a professional basic course for all majors in School of Economics and Management, the main study of finding law behind the uncertainty of the data. Organizational Behavior
This eight-week course explores human performance in the workplace from three distinct levels of analysis. The first level of analysis focuses on factors that influence the choice of behaviors of individuals in the workplace. The second level of analysis focuses on the interface between individuals and groups/teams in the workplace. The final level of analysis focuses on the interface between individual workers, groups of workers, and organizational processes.
Computer-aided Analysis
This course is a basic computer skills course for undergraduate students in Information Management and business-related major undergraduates, emphasizing students' ability to use professional software to conduct business analysis and solve business problems based on their mastery of basic business theories and methods.
