This project focuses on electrosorption seawater desalination, which achieves salt-water separation based on the electrochemical double-layer principle. It features low energy consumption, no chemicals, and renewable electrodes, suitable for remote area water supply.
The core is developing new porous carbon and composite electrode materials to improve adsorption performance. Currently, large-scale pilots are underway, and integration with photovoltaics and reverse osmosis is explored to address water scarcity.
