National College Digital Art&Design Awards is one of competitions in National Academic Discipline Competition List issued by Chinese Association of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education. It is one of the important competitions in the reform of higher education and the cultivation of innovative talents. Its categories include Visual Communication, Digital Image, Interactive Design, Environmental Space, Style Design, Fashion and Clothing, Digital Painting, and so on.
Weihai campus organised a preliminary during April to August in 2020. A total of 5 groups won awards, including 1 first prize, 2 second prizes and 2 third prizes. The first prize team participated in the rematch of the East China Competition in representation of Weihai campus, and won a second prize.
全国高校数字艺术设计大赛是教育部高等教育学会发布的《全国普通高校学科竞赛排行榜》内竞赛项目，是高校教育教学改革和创新人才培养的重要竞赛项目之一。赛事类别分为视觉传达、数字影像、交互设计、环境空间、造型设计、时尚与服饰、数字绘画等。
2020年4月至8月，威海校区组织了高校数字艺术设计大赛校区预选赛，共5组获奖，其中一等奖1组、二等奖2组、三等奖2组。一等奖小组代表威海校区参加了高校数字艺术设计大赛华东赛区复赛，并取得了华东赛区二等奖的成绩。
