第一届威海地区联合模拟联合国大会在我校区顺利举行
The First Joint Model UN Conference of Weihai Universities held in BJTU Weihai
From April 1st to 4th, 2017, the first joint Model United Nations conference was held in BJTU Weihai Campus. Delegates from Shandong University, Weihai, Harbin Institute of Technology, Weihai, Harbin University of Science and Technology, Rongcheng Campus, Shandong Vocational College of Foreign Affairs Translation and BJTU Weihai Campus attended the meeting, which focused intensely on the theme of "the World Pattern After 70 Years of the Cold War". The conference will re-interpretate the history and predict the future prospect of post-Cold War, to enhance university students a sense of responsibility, and to care about the world.
4月1日至4日，第一届威海地区联合模拟联合国大会在北京交通大学威海校区顺利举行，来自山东大学（威海）、哈尔滨工业大学（威海）和哈尔滨理工大学荣成学院等多个学校的近百名代表参加了本次大会。大会开幕式在学术交流中心多功能厅举行，北京交通大学校长助理、威海校区管委会主任徐宇工，威海校区管委会副主任白延雷，教务管理办公室兼基础教学部主任李树春，学务管理办公室主任李香山出席了开幕式。仪式由罗彻斯特理工学院的Travis Matteson教授主持。
正式会议开始前，各会场主席对代表们进行了模联术语、会议流程和注意事项等学术培训，提高了与会人员对本次大会的了解。本次会议以联合国所关切的国际问题为议题。与会人员在GA4（英文）、印巴分治（中文）及主新闻中心（MPC）三个主会场辩论研讨，展现才华。模联活动让同学们重新认识广大的世界，通过深入分析国际时事，增强对世界的关注以及对时事的把握能力。模拟联合国大会，有益于培养参会学生的领导能力，使其学会解决争端、解决问题的方法。
